| Technical Help:
When transferring files using the File Transfer Protocol (FTP), we strongly recommend that you compress your files with Stuffit or Win Zip software. These software programs have free reduced versions that can be found at the following Internet addresses: Stuffit: http://www.stuffit.com WinZip: http://www.winzip.com
When sending requests to us, it is important to make sure that all fonts and images are included with your project files. We encourage you to double check to save precious time and avoid unnecessary delays.
The resolution and colour of your grayscale images must have minimum 150 dpi for 85 to 133 lpi and minimum 220 dpi for 150 to 250 lpi. For bitmaps, the resolution we recommend is 180 dpi. It is always preferable for the resolution of your images to be as close to 300 dpi as possible. A resolution exceeding 300 dpi has no effect other than to increase file size.
Enhanced black is a combination of 100% black and 25% cyan.
Projects with black plate changes: For those who are familiar with layers or overlays, it is preferable to use at least three of them; one should be the base (with only colour items). The other two should be your two versions. For instance, with language options, one layer is used for the entire English text and the other is used for the French text. This technique prevents colour items from being displaced, which might result in your second version being off register.
If you have Photoshop images imported from another software program such as QxP, Illustrator, InDesign or others and the colour background is the same as that of the base item, make sure that the colour recipe is the same for the two items to prevent unexpected effects.
